Trawick H. Stubbs, Jr. Senior Partner

He attended the University of North Carolina where he earned an A.B. in 1964. He received his J.D. from Duke University in 1967. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi and The Order of the Coif. He served on the Editorial Board, Duke Law Journal from 1966-1967. He was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1967.

From 1969 to 1970, he was Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge John D. Larkins, Jr. He founded the law firm of Stubbs & Perdue, P.A. in 1971.

Mr. Stubbs is a North Carolina State Bar Bankruptcy Specialist. He served as a member of the North Carolina State Bar Board of Specialization - Bankruptcy Specialization Committee from 1984 to 1990 and the North Carolina Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section Council from 1986 to 1989. He is a member of the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, Chairman of the NACTT Statistical Data Committee, Eastern North Carolina Inn of Court, American Bar Association, North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Sustaining Patron, North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, American Association for Justice, and Craven County Bar Association. He has been a Permanent Delegate of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference since 1971. He was the organizer, a frequent speaker and the first President of the Bankruptcy Section, North Carolina Bar Association. He was also the organizer, speaker and founder of the Eastern Bankruptcy Institute, and sponsored bankruptcy seminars for practitioners in the Eastern District for two years prior to the formation of the Bankruptcy Section. Mr. Stubbs served as attorney for Craven County from 1995 to 1998.
