Laurie B. Biggs
Ms. Biggs attended the University of Michigan, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science in 2000. She received her J.D. cum laude, from the University of Kentucky in 2003. She was a member of the Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law, and served as its Technical Editor from 2002-2003. She was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2003.
Ms. Biggs is now recognized as a specialist in business bankruptcy law, by the North Carolina State Bar and the American Board of Certification. In 2007, Ms. Biggs was recognized in Business North Carolina Magazine’s “Legal Elite” as one of the best attorneys in the field of Bankruptcy Law, and as one of the “Top Lawyers Under 40” in North Carolina. Ms. Biggs also co-authored a chapter in the Bankruptcy Manual published by the North Carolina Bar Association.
Ms. Biggs is a member of the Order of the Coif, the Wake County Bar Association, the American Academy of Justice, the North Carolina Bar Association (Bankruptcy and Litigation Sections), the North Carolina Association of Trial Lawyers, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
