J. Douglas McCullough New Bern, North Carolina
Judge Douglas McCullough attended Swansboro High School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (AB History, 1967) and the University of South Carolina Law School (JD 1970). While in Law School he was Managing Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and Chairman of the Honor Council. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1970, the District of Columbia Bar in 1976 and the North Carolina Bar in 1982. Following law school, he was a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, a federal prosecutor with the Organized Crime Strike Force in Philadelphia, counsel to the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee, an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of North Carolina and with this firm from 1996-2000. He was elected to the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 2000 and served for 8 years before returning to this firm.
